Which one do you Prefer: Working from home or at the office?

Shared Experiences

In the past, it was something common that people traveled to their workplaces daily. But, nowadays due to the improvement of technology including internet and smart devices, more and more people prefer to work from home. This has some advantages and some disadvantages.

One of the biggest benefits of working from home is reaching to a flexible time. For example, if you are a night owl, you will be free to wake up at 11:00 every day. However, this benefit is limited in some industries. If you should work with some other people and organizations who are not available at night, you cannot work only at nights. You may need to wake up at 7:00 or even sooner.

Furthermore, working from home help people to manage their time more efficient.  For instance, working from home will eliminate the time of traveling to the office. This also will culminate in cutting the costs of transport related to being available at the office.

In contrast, there are some disadvantages. Working from home will limit the human relationships to the virtual ones and this will be boring and disgusting in the long term. The other dark side of this matter is that you always find more distractors and excuses to evade from your job as you are at home and if you are not able to curb this issue, you will be exposed to the risk of losing opportunities.

One thing more can be also an obstacle for choosing to work at home and that is you should pay the cost of internet and energy on your own.

In conclusion, I believe working from home has some cos and pros, but it depends on the person whether pros outweigh or vice versa. For my self, I think working from home is much more interesting, but I need to meet the people I work with at least twice a week.
